Registering a project with RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) is a crucial step for developers and builders to comply with real estate regulations. Guidelines to register a project with RERA:

1. Check Eligibility: Ensure that your project meets the eligibility criteria for registration under RERA. Generally, most residential and commercial projects that exceed a certain threshold in terms of area more than  500 sq yards or 8 number of units, are on ly exempted else are required to be registered.

2. Gather Documents: Collect all the necessary documents required for project registration. These may include:

   • Title deed of the land
   • Layout plan of the project
   • Building plan approval
   • Commencement certificate
   • Details of the developer/promoter
   • Details of the architect and structural engineer
   • Estimated project cost
   • Timeline for completion
   • Any other documents specified by the RERA authority in your jurisdiction

5. Submit Application: Submit the completed application form along with all the required documents and proof of fee payment to the RERA authority. 

6. Verification and Approval: The RERA authority will verify the submitted documents and information provided in the application. They may conduct site visits or request additional information if necessary. Once satisfied, they will approve the registration of the project.

7. Receive Registration Certificate: Upon approval, the developer will receive a registration certificate from the RERA authority. This certificate contains important details about the project, such as registration number, project details, and timelines.

8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all the regulations and guidelines stipulated by RERA throughout the construction and sale process of the project. This includes adhering to the timeline for completion, providing updates to the RERA authority, and maintaining transparency with buyers.

9. Renewal (if applicable): Some RERA authorities require developers to renew the project registration periodically after the expiry of registration to avoid penalties or legal issues.

10. Display Registration Details: Display the registration details, including the RERA registration number, prominently at the project site and in all advertisements and marketing materials related to the project.
